Privacy policy

This policy explains how NMajor Studios LLC (a Wyoming, USA limited liability company) handles personal data for TangoLango (www.tangolango.com and the mobile app). We aim to collect as little as possible.

1. What we collect

• Account data: your name, email, and subscription status.
• Learning data: the words and situations you ask to learn, your review history, and tutor conversations (needed to schedule and personalize your lessons).
• WhatsApp companion data: a linked phone number, reminder choice, and phrases you choose to save for practice. Voice notes are not accepted in v1.
• Support messages: anything you send via our forms.
• Optional journey analytics: after you accept analytics, we record landing page, referrer, campaign parameters, first page, page views, and selected signup or install-link clicks. We exclude tutor messages, saved phrases, lesson answers, payment details, and form contents.

2. How we use it

To run your lessons, schedule reviews, operate the tutor, process your subscription, provide support, and understand the path from a landing page to signup after you consent. We do not sell your personal data.

3. We do not train AI on your data

TangoLango does not use your conversations, learning data, or personal data to train AI models. We use Google, OpenRouter, and DeepInfra to produce tutor replies and study content, Microsoft to create study audio, and fal.ai for some optional illustrations. These providers process the information to provide TangoLango features under their API data terms.

4. Payments

Apple or Google will process native-app purchases. We receive purchase and entitlement status, not your full card details.

5. Tutor and WhatsApp messages

Messages you send to the tutor or WhatsApp companion are processed to save requested learning material. The WhatsApp intake removes message text and phone number from its delivery record after processing; saved learning material remains attached to your account. Do not send sensitive personal data.

6. Data retention & deletion

Saved learning material remains while your account is active. Tutor conversation history is kept for up to 12 months. Time-bound tutor memories expire when they are no longer useful; other tutor memories remain until you delete or replace them. Content-free tutor action and security records are kept for up to 12 months. Raw consented journey events are kept for no more than 90 days. Processed WhatsApp delivery records are stripped of message text and phone number. Deleting your account triggers deletion of account-linked data within 30 days. To request deletion, use the methods below.

7. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to opt out of "sale"/"sharing" (we do neither). To exercise any right, use our privacy request form, email our designated privacy address at privacy@tangolango.com, or use the contact form.

8. Children

TangoLango is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA). We do not knowingly collect their data; contact us if you believe a child has provided data.

9. International users & EU representative

We operate from the United States. EU/EEA users: our EU representative has not yet been appointed; this section will name them before any EU-targeted launch.
